Роль селена в кардиологии
Аннотация
Селен является важным микроэлементом, имеющим фундаментальное значение для функционирования организма человека. Входя в состав активного центра ряда антиоксидантых ферментов, селен предотвращает повреждение клеток организма свободными радикалами. Снижение синтеза селенсодержащих ферментов ведет к прогрессированию оксидативного стресса и хронического воспаления, которые считаются возможными причинами возникновения многих сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний. В настоящем обзоре рассматриваются механизмы, с помощью которых адекватная обеспеченность организма селеном может предотвращать повреждения миокарда и сосудов, а также подчеркивается важность мониторинга и коррекции селенового статуса профильных пациентов.
